We’re excited to announce the rollout of a powerful new feature in our Wholesale calling platform — Caller ID–Based Intelligent Routing.

This enhancement enables our system to dynamically route calls based on the origin of the caller’s number (CLI). It introduces a smarter and more cost-efficient way to handle domestic and international calls by evaluating whether the caller is local to the destination number.

How It Works

With this feature enabled, the system checks the origin of the call (caller ID) and matches it with the destination number. Here’s a practical example:

• A user from the UK calls a UK number — the system identifies both the caller ID and the destination as domestic. The call is routed through a domestic termination, avoiding unnecessary international gateway fees.

• A caller from outside the UK dials a UK number — the system routes this via international termination as the origin is not local to the destination.

Why This Matters

International gateways typically come with higher costs. By using this feature, you can now:

• Reduce call termination costs for domestic calls.
• Improve call efficiency by routing calls intelligently.
• Offer better pricing to your end customers.

This feature is particularly valuable for operators handling large volumes of international and local traffic, ensuring that every call is routed in the most economical way possible without compromising quality.
