To meet our customers’ needs, we’ve enhanced VSM4 and VUC with a powerful new feature:
- The Main PBX account can now delegate selected company-level permissions to PBX sub accounts — not just the system administrator in VSM4.
This update gives companies more control, better operational efficiency, and secure delegation of daily telephony tasks.
What Has Changed?
- The Main PBX account can grant selected permissions to its PBX sub accounts.
- Sub accounts can receive the same permissions as the main company account — selectively.
- No need to enable all permissions — you choose exactly what each sub account can access.
This means greater decentralization without compromising security.

How to Assign Permissions in VSM4
To grant permissions to a PBX sub account in VSM4:
- Navigate to the PBX Sub Accounts list.
- Select the desired PBX sub account.
- Open the permissions section.
- Activate the required permissions according to the company’s needs.
- Save the changes.
In VUC – Main PBX Account Delegation

Assigning Permissions in VUC
To assign permissions to a PBX sub account in VUC:
- Log in to the Main PBX account.
- Access the PBX User Portal.
- Navigate to the Company → Users section.
- Select the desired sub account.
- Assign the required operational permissions.
- Save the changes to apply the configuration.
What Does This Enable?
Once the required permissions are assigned, a PBX sub account can access and manage PBX resources based on the granted rights, like:
- Purchase a DID number
- Configure Auto Attendant menus
- Set up queues and call groups
- Manage extensions
- Access recordings (if allowed)
- Monitor billing data
- and many more
All without requiring intervention from the main administrator.
Security & Control
Even though sub accounts can receive the same permissions as the main company account, access remains fully controlled and granular.
Each permission category includes three separate access levels:
- View – allows the user to see the configuration and data
- Edit – allows the user to modify existing settings
- Remove – allows the user to delete configurations
This means that the Administrator or Company Owner can, for example:
- Grant access to view numbers, queues, auto attendants, billing, or recordings
- Allow monitoring without the ability to modify configurations
- Prevent deletion of critical PBX elements
Permissions are explicitly granted, can be adjusted at any time, and remain fully under company-level control.
